Our Debut in the Sanctuary: Reflections from RHS Chelsea

Bringing a brand-new concept to the world’s most prestigious flower show is always a massive leap of faith. For our very first Chelsea showcase, we wanted to build something that went beyond a traditional furniture display; we wanted to create a genuine sanctuary away from the bustling avenues. Looking back on an incredible week, we are incredibly proud to say that the heart of our stand beat exactly the way we hoped it would.

ReCreativity Stand Chelsea Flower Show 2026

Amid the vibrant energy of Chelsea 2026 - a year where the entire show ground embraced a powerful shift toward sustainable craftsmanship, recycled materials, and design-forward outdoor living - our space stood as a quiet pavilion. It became a place where ancient materials, complex engineering, and human curiosity found a beautiful equilibrium.

To our absolute delight, this vision was recognised by the RHS judges, who honoured us with a 5-star Tradestand Award. For a Chelsea debut, this is a wonderful accolade. The judges specifically highlighted our meticulous attention to detail - a recognition that means a great deal to our team, who poured months of uncompromising planning into every square inch of the pavilion.

The Art of the Story

Having our sculptor and designer, James Doran-Webb, on the stand brought a unique layer of depth to the experience. There is a distinct magic in watching a creator interact with the public, and James spent time chatting with guests and sharing the realities of his craft. Visitors loved tracing his path from a childhood in Devon surrounded by antiques and a lifelong obsession with making things, all the way to his workshop in Cebu, the Philippines, where he has spent years bringing these spectacular designs to life.

We loved watching visitors pause amid the fast-moving crowds to pick up our brochures and quietly immerse themselves in that history. Seeing people genuinely want to understand the heritage, the workshop, and the decades of life built into the Molave wood was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Our audience doesn’t just appreciate luxury; they value the story behind it.

Artistry, Hospitality, and Physics

At the centre of our display, two pieces perfectly represented the intersection of deep engineering and vibrant hospitality.

Our Gravity Mirror quickly became an interactive favourite. We loved watching so many of you pause to find your angle for a reflection photo, but what made those moments even better was sharing the secret behind the glass. Guests were fascinated to learn about the four years of complex physics and balancing required to suspend the immense weight of the wood elements seamlessly without cracking the surface.

The Botanica Bar was the social heartbeat of our space. Every single afternoon, this piece did precisely what it was engineered to do - bring people together. We were thrilled to welcome a variety of familiar faces throughout the week, including Piers Morgan, who dropped by to experience the stand and enjoy the bar with us, declaring our pieces to be "very cool."

As we cracked open the champagne to celebrate the week, the bar transformed into a bustling hub of laughter and storytelling. It proved that luxury furniture isn't just an aesthetic choice; it’s a living stage for life's best moments.

A Journey Just Beginning

Across these remarkable days, the atmosphere surrounding our debut was nothing short of electric. We welcomed a fluid stream of collectors, interior designers, familiar faces from Press Day, and passionate design lovers who spent their week exploring the grounds.

We left the Royal Hospital Chelsea deeply moved by the warmth of the people we met and the resonance of the discussions that lingered long after the gates closed. To everyone who stepped off the busy avenues, walked under our logo, and stepped into our sanctuary: thank you. Your curiosity, your kind words and this incredible 5-star recognition turned our very first Chelsea Flower Show into a resounding success.

Our debut may be over, but the journey of ReCreativity is just getting started. We look forward to bringing a piece of this sanctuary into your homes.
